Large L&JG Stickley Trestle Table

We have never encountered this form before in this massive size (72"L x 45"W). Recently removed from a home in Maryland, and still retaining its original finish with evidence of some household cleanings. A few nicks and bruises commensurate with age, but nothing serious whatsoever.

19th Century Muti Adjusting Drafting Table

In just the most original condition imagineable, this drafting table has incredible Victorian gold stenciling on a cast iron base. Three bold nickel plated knobs on the post to facilitate adjusting. Two drawers on the top opening to either side; with a walnut writing surface. Great label reciting a patent date of 1872.

Early (1902) Gustav Stickley Leather Top Table

This leather top table comes to us from an estate in Albany NY where all the pieces in this collection were from 1901-1902. In fine original condition-finish, the leather on this table is replaced with very fine new leather reminiscent of the original. Having exposed tenons on the stretcher and just below the top surface, this table appears in the literature as model #440 from the year 1902. Top diameter: 30" / Height: 28"

This form is referred to in the literature as a library table, but never have we encountered this size and nowhere in the literature is it to be found. Set of Eight Decorated "Glastonbury" Chairs

Set of eight decorated American "Glastonbury" chairs, a design emanating from the British architect Augustus Pugin. Each chair has a different hand painted butterfly skillfully done and original to the chairs. Provenance: The chairs were retrieved from the attic at "Aldie" which had been the residence of Wm. R. Mercer, Jr. (1858-1939) and his wife, Martha Dana Mercer. His older brother, Henry Chapman Mercer, was the more celebrated, having been connected with Moravian Pottery and Tile Works and Fonthill Castle in Doylestown, Pa. The Wm. Mercers rebuilt "Aldie" just before his death in 1927. A chair from the set appears in a photograph encaptioned "Interior of the studio at Aldie", House and Garden, vol. 4, 1903, p. 178. I

Tabard Inn Revolving Bookcase

Oak revolving bookcase - developed by Seymour Eaton of Philadelphia and styled after the famous Tabard Inn in Great Britain. Essentially, it was a membership lending library that required a membership fee and then an honor system coin to be deposited through the provided coin slot for each publication borrowed - See a more detailed history: (http://www.libraryhistorybuff.org/tabard-inn.htm ) In just remarkable original condition with inscribed lettering and cartouches, and configured with shelves, cubbies and opening windows and doors. Beautiful simulated shingled roof with a stately finial top. 27" sq @ roof / Height: 76"

Wall Hanging Mission Oak Plate Rack

Fine looking wall hanging plate rack with some indicia of Stickley, perhaps Stickley Brothers but we make no such representation. In superb original condition and finish, there are two grooved shelves to accommodate leaning plates and the like. Stenciled number "734 1/2" appears on the back side. 38"W x 22"H x 6"D (at deepest point)
