Hanging Wall Cabinet Backbar
This magnificent hanging wall cabinet has come to us from a fine residence in Newton, Massachusetts. It was used there as a backbar for a companion server/cabinet which was, unfortunately, built into the woodwork of the room and thus could not be removed. Notwithstanding, we are very happy to offer this piece alone. It is constructed of high-quality mahogany and exhibits masterful carving throughout. The tombstone-shaped top has a recessed area for display; and the shell carving on this area helps render this cabinet so very classic. This central area is flanked on either side by two leaded glass doors, and there is additionally a leaded window area on each side. The underside has an arrangement of corbels with a classic acanthus carved design. In fine original condition / patina but for a slightly cracked window on the right side and a cracked member on the extreme top wich would probably not be noticeable when hung at an appropriate height (see photos). Ca. 1900. Dimensions: Height: 28" Width: 72 1/2" Depth: 12"

Stickley Brothers Morris Chair
Though we can find no documentation to validate our attribution to Stickley Brothers, we feel strongly that it is indeed Stickley Brothers as it has many indicia of their work: the shape of the arms, the shape and size of the tenons, the round circular cutouts that appear on other Stickley Bros pieces and the notching of the bottom side rail which also appears on other Stickley Brothers pieces. Thus, we are 99% sure this is a rare model morris chair by Stickley Brothers. Refinished
